서문 - Introduction
 
그리스도인들에게 예수님의 생애를 읽는 것은 그들의 신앙생활의 확고한 결단을 위해서 매우 중요한 일이다. 마태복음, 마가복음, 누가복음, 요한복음의 4복음서는 예수 그리스도의 생애를 기록한 완벽한 하나님의 말씀이다. 4복음서 각권을 통하여 하나님께서 우리들에게 주시려는 메시지는 그 성경 그대로 정확무오한 하나님의 말씀이다.
To Christians, reading about Jesus's life is important for being certain about devoting their lives to believe in the Gospel. The four Gospels in the New Testament - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John - record the perfect Word of God through the life of Jesus Christ. Through each of the four Gospels, God is showing us how accurate and flawless the Word conveyed in the Bible is.
 
그러나 매번 느끼는 것이지만, 어리석은 인생들이기에 복음서를 읽고 난 뒤 복음서의 내용을 시간적으로 분류하고 중복된 내용들을 통합 정리함으로서 보다 더 체계적이고 쉽게 예수님의 생애를 이해하고 싶은 열망들을 느낄 때가 종종 있어왔다. 그렇게 4복음서의 내용을 대조하여 한권으로 정리함으로서 일목요언하게 예수님의 발자취를 따라감에 도움을 주기를 바라며, 4복음서를 대조 정리하여 『복음서에 나타난 예수 그리스도의 생애』를 발간하게 되었다.
Each of the four Gospels is the perfect Word of God. However, as foolish as human beings are, we cannot understand how perfect each Gospel is individually. That is why we need to focus on organizing the four Gospels - whether it be chronologically or by how repetitive certain verses are - to understand Jesus's life better. By organizing all the four Gospels into one connecting story, this book seeks to give you a comprehensive dive into the life of Jesus Christ. Not only does The Life of Jesus Christ in the Gospels seek to connect all four Gospels, but it also has an element of contrast among the four Gospels.
 
모쪼록 이 책이 믿는 자들은 물론이고 믿지 않는 자들에게 복음을 제시함에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 믿어 의심치 않는다. 혹시라도 이 작업이 거룩한 하나님의 말씀의 권위와 내용에 조금이라도 부정적인 영향을 미친다면 먼저 하나님께 용서를 구하며 당장에 모든 것이 중단되어져야 함을 믿는다.
As the author, I believe this book can be for both believers and non-believers. For non-believers, I believe this book is a great way to introduce the Good News to them. If this book somehow misrepresents and negatively affects the perfect and powerful Word of God in any way, I would like to ask God for His forgiveness first, and I strongly believe that this book should not be offered to anyone.
 
『복음서에 나타난 예수 그리스도의 생애』에는 4복음서에 기록된 모든 성경이 기록되어 있으며, 같은 내용을 기록한 각 복음서는 가장 먼저 기록된 마가복음이나 보다 자세하고 긴 내용의 복음서를 기본으로 하여 본문으로 삼았다. 대신 중복된 다른 복음서는 각주를 통하여 정리했고 유일하거나 특이한 내용은 비교란으로 삽입하였다.
In 『The Life of Jesus Christ in the Gospels』, all the words of the four Gospels are included. For the parts and stories that overlap, I intentionally put the Gospel that was written first - Mark - or the Gospel that is most descriptive and detailed as the foundation of the different themes, chapters, and paragraphs of this book. For the stories and details that are repetitive throughout the Gospels, I included organized footnotes for reference. Also, for unique and/or specific stories and details, this book shows contrasts among the four Gospels.
